November 23-MHCC Book Group-No Meeting this Week.

November 23 & 24-MHCC Rectory Offices will be closed for Thanksgiving. 

November 25 & 26-Family Mass at 4:00PM at St. Francis of Assisi and at 9:30AM at St. Dominic.

November 28-Scripture Study-St. Dominic-12-1:30PM.

November 30-MHCC Book Group Meeting-6:30-8:00PM.

December 1 & 2-First Friday & First Saturday will be held at St. Dominic's at 8:00AM.

December 3-Taize will be held once again at St. Francis at 6:00PM.  

December 5-Scripture Study-St. Dominic-12-1:30PM.

December 6-St. Dominic-Anointing of the Sick after the 8:00AM Mass.

December 7-MHCC Book Group Meeting-6:30-8:00PM.

December 8-Immaculate Conception-Holy Day of Obligation:  Mass schedule is St. Dominic at 8:00AM and St. Francis of Assisi at 4:00PM.

December 10-Blessing of the Manger and Christmas Tree at St. Francis of Assisi at 6:30PM.

December 12-Scripture Study-St. Dominic-12-1:30PM.

December 14-MHCC Book Group Meeting-6:30-8:00PM.

December 16-Breakfast with Santa at St. Dominic from 10AM-12noon for children in Faith Formation Grades 1-4.

December 16 & 17-Family Mass at 4:00PM at St. Francis of Assisi and 9:30AM at St. Dominic-brief Christmas Pageant held by Faith Formation Grades 1-4.

December 17-Advent Penance will be held at St. Francis of Assisi from 1:00-7:00PM.

December 18-Advent Penance will be held at St. Dominic from 9:00AM-11:00AM.

December 19-Christmas Concert at St. Francis of Assisi at 7:00PM.

December 21-MHCC Book Group-Holiday Social at 6:30-8:00PM.

December 24-Christmas Eve Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis at 4:00PM.

December 25-Christmas Mass schedule will be 7:00 & 9:30AM at St. Dominic and 11:00AM at St. Francis.

December 31-New Years Eve-No Evening Mass. 

January 1, 2024-New Years Day Mass will be celebrated at St. Dominic at 8:00AM.

A WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW PASTOR:

We are pleased to introduce Father Thomas Costa to the Mt. Hope Catholic Community.

Father Tom grew up in nearby Seekonk and later gradutated from University of Hartford.  After a career in business, he entered priestly formation and completed his Theological studies at Pope John the XXIII Seminary in Weston, MA.  He was ordained on July 9, 2005.  He served as Pastor of Annunciation of the Lord from 2012 to 2019 and has had assignments as Chaplain of Bishop Feehan High School as well as Our Lady of Lourdes School.  Along with experience in Family Ministry, he also brings with him experience ministering as a Hospital Chaplain at Cape Cod Hospital.  He arrives from the Taunton Catholic North collaborative, where he served as Co-Pastor of St. Jude The Apostle, St. Anthony's, and St. Mary's since 2019.

He looks forward to meeting parishioners and getting to know the life of our parishes more closely.  As he settles into his new role as Pastor, Father Costa would like you to know that he will be praying for all of us.  He asks that you in turn pray that the Holy Spirit guides his arrival so that this community  continues to grow in the faith, hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Our parish  community welcomes Fr. Tom, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will guide him and bless his time here with us.
